If there’s one thing you’ll quickly learn about me, it’s that I absolutely adore stories.
I also love crocheting, and I’m always amazed by how a single strand of yarn can be transformed into something beautiful, one stitch at a time. Stories remind me of that. They begin with just a few words on a page, but slowly grow into imagination, curiosity, confidence, friendships, laughter, and meaningful learning.
In our Early Years classroom at Chowgule International School, a story is never just a story.
A dancing giraffe might inspire us to celebrate what makes each of us unique. Pinocchio may lead us to wonder about honesty and making thoughtful choices. A clever monkey from a Panchatantra tale could spark problem-solving, teamwork, and adventures that continue long after the last page has been turned.
Every story becomes an invitation to wonder, create, build, explore, and learn through play. Some days, we’ll become the characters ourselves. On other days, we’ll paint, build, investigate, or simply sit together and ask, “I wonder what would happen if…?”
Those little moments of wonder often lead to the most meaningful learning.
As an educator, one of my greatest joys is choosing stories that build vocabulary, inspire values, spark curiosity, and leave plenty of room for children to wonder, explore, and learn beyond the pages of the book.
I can’t wait to welcome our little explorers and begin weaving these beautiful, story-filled learning journeys together. 💛📚✨
